Hey guys, so Bryce here, welcome to this video. We’re gonna be talking about what is the best bookkeeper in marketing. Okay? So what we’re gonna really do today is demystify what is marketing exactly, especially if you’re going from zero to 10 K, when you get from about 10 K to 20 k. Marketing’s a little bit different, so we’re gonna talk about each phase, but the first phase we’re gonna start off talking about is about zero to 10 K. It’ll take you to a link of my calendar. Can’t wait to see you there. Now anyways, so you guys have to really understand, number one, foreign marketing is relationships, okay? A lot of people, when they’re first getting started, they’re trying to go and basically just go and create a bunch of new relationships because they don’t really understand. Their network has people who know people who know people who know people who have know people. And one thing to note is you’re always three degrees of separation away from your next client or your next, you know, your next dollar. So the first thing I would do is I would actually go through my network and I would be seeing who owns a business, okay? That’s the first thing. And if I do know someone who owns a business, I’m going to be getting them on the phone and asking if I can help them with their accounting or their bookkeeping.
That’s number one. Number two is if you’ve ever either worked for someone in the past in an accounting or bookkeeping capacity, or if you have any existing clients, you need to be going and asking them who do they know that’s looking for this? Or who do they know that owns a business? It’s easier if you can go a little bit broader and asking like, who do they know that owns a business? And then from there you can go take control of that process and go be able to, um, you know, outreach and connect with that person yourself. Now, the reason why this is so important, right? Like a lot of people, they’re probably expecting me to say, go run some Facebook ads or go run some YouTube ads. Um, but it’s just not necessary when you’re first starting out. For example, uh, my student Mike, so he just signed a client.
Um, the client needs about 20 hours worth of work per week for the first month. Um, we’re charging about a hundred dollars an hour. You do the math, very, very, very big size client and all the person had to do was just reach out and build a relationship. The guy needed the service right then and there. He trusted him. They had the relationship, he was able to build, um, just a rapport on like, I think it was about a one-hour conversation they had where Mike basically called him on the phone. They talked about all the guys’ problems, and the mike just dropped the price. The guy was like, cool man, I just got a new loan. Uh, I got a lot of cash flow, man, I’m ready to go. Let’s do this thing. Okay? So that’s number one. You gotta make sure you can start using the existing relationships you have and then start going outwards to the market. Next thing you’re gonna need to do is you’re gonna need to start creating social media presences, okay? Specifically on LinkedIn and Instagram. Those are the first two you need to be thinking about. Now, when I say an online presence, I don’t mean like just posting content, that’s
Not, not what I mean. You need to go and start developing relationships with strangers on the platform, okay? So on Instagram, you should be shooting for at least a thousand people or a thousand business owners that you are following and you’re continuously circling up on and just checking up, checking in, building that relationship, can you know more about them, more about their lives, more about their pains, more about their problems. And then over time, those thousand people, they’re going to start saying, Hey, you know, I, I need some help. Or Hey, you know, I trust you. Now, um, can we move this thing forward? How do we, how do I, you know, learn more about your services? From there, you just get ’em on a phone call. Now, keep in mind guys, a thousand people might sound like a lot when you’re getting started, but when you actually get inside of this a thousand people is nothing.
It’s so simple, okay? Now on LinkedIn, my, my goal with LinkedIn is I’m almost trying to always send out about 50 to a hundred connection requests every single day on LinkedIn. In some cases it won’t allow you to do that cuz LinkedIn’s going through some changes. Um, but that’s just generally the easiest way for you to start building that network and start expanding your sphere of influence. From there, guys, you just have to start having conversations. Um, one thing that I always like to do is I give my students like, um, conversation scripts so they know exactly what to say. For example, with Audrey, she doesn’t even think about what she says anymore. She literally just copy paste line one, copy paste, line two, and then she either invites ’em to a phone call or she copy and paste line three and it’s just literally just looping and looping and looping.
And then the first week of this year, she got seven calls booked back to back to back. And out of those seven calls, five of them turned into clients. Now that’s probably unheard of for most people. When I say like, turn to clients like, um, um, she got one client for, I think it was like 56, it was about 20. I think one was about 2,800 and the other one was 2,800, cuz in total was 5,600, um, dollars per month that she increased her revenue by, in addition to getting two cleanups for $75 per hour each. Now why is that cool? I mean, that’s, that’s almost $10,000 right there. It’s halfway to the goal in one week, right? While a lot of people are thinking they have to do all this complicated marketing, they have to spend money, they have to go, you know, on Upwork and they have to go embark.
It’s really not that complicated. If one, you know how to talk to people. Two, you know how to make people feel comfortable and three, if once they feel comfortable, you are comfortable yourself asking for more money than everybody else is charging. That’s it. That’s it, okay? Now, within there, there’s a lot of different things. I’m sorry that I’m oversimplifying it. It’s just really hard to know exactly what’s causing you, if you’re watching this, like to not get the, the clients you want. If I was sitting in front of you, I’d be able to give you more accurate. Like, Hey, go here, go here, go here, go here, switch this word, switch that word. And then three, start learning how to utilize Instagram and learn how to use Instagram, um, LinkedIn to be able to go and expand into that group of strangers and be able to go and expand your range to at least 2000 to 3000 business owners in your local area.
